About Me

I’ve always loved animals, but more than that, I’ve had a deep connection with them. I’ve been fortunate to have some deeply moving experiences.

I’ve traveled a lot and have sat with wildlife in the most amazing places, reaching out to them from my heart. In Africa, I once told a lone scared elephant he had nothing to fear from the small group of us sitting on the other side of a watering hole and watched as made his way to drink, and I could feel his fear and uncertainty dissipating.

My beloved cat Toonces, who passed a few years ago, always knew the day we were coming home from a trip—I would tell him when my husband and I were due to return and our pet sitter always said he acted so differently on the final day of our trip—getting very excited and running around the house.

Once a friend and I were giving a bath to an adult raccoon who was very sick. He kept trying to bite me, as adult animals will do, because they look at us as predators (I had on protective gloves). When my friend went to get some more warm water, I was sitting quietly waiting with him, and he suddenly reached out and grabbed my hand. He realized we were trying to help him, and this really compromised animal just reached out to thank me.

In graduate school, I had a calling to go for a walk at night (which I never did) and found our cat, who’d been missing for two weeks, right on the path I took, as if she was waiting for me.

I chalked all these incidents and more up to random occurrences, as I pursued a market research career in the corporate world. Eventually, I began to explore my intuitive gifts in animal communication and healing. And as I worked with animals and their people, I realized how much we can deepen our connections to animals, both improving their lives and enriching ours.

My husband Jim and I live in Brighton, CO, with our three cats, Juliette, Zoey and Bob. In addition to animal communication, I love to travel and to photograph wildlife. I’ve also been a volunteer wildlife rehabilitator for the past 12 years, where I raise orphaned wildlife and release them back into the wild.
